discipleship

Jesus thought discipleship was such a big deal that He made it part of the heartbeat of the mission given to the church to “make disciples.”

Discipleship is the transformation of ones heart, mind and soul for an intentional intimate relationship with Jesus. It is a spirit-driven process, being transformed by knowing, loving, and obeying Jesus for the glory of God and His kingdom. Daily we need to learn to attune our ears to His voice, His calling, and His leading. We need to be in His Word and in prayer as He has marvelous things He wants to reveal to us.

If you are a disciple then missions is your DNA.

It is our time as Jesus disciple to follow Him and to obey Him, by doing what disciples of Jesus do: make disciples who make disciples. We are to live with an urgency and passion for taking the gospel to the ends of earth.

This means as Jesus’ disciples we are to go and take the hope of the Gospel to every ethnic group in the world with the goal of making disciples.

Jesus commands His followers, [that’s you included], to minister to the needs of the whole person and we do that through an integrated approach of disciple-making that helps meet all the needs of mankind.

For many years much of the mission efforts have focused on addressing either the physical or spiritual needs. We advocate for a both/and integral approach of disciple making: addressing spiritual, physical, social and intellectual needs.
