churches

There is a difference between adding people to the church and multiplying disciples into the world. Churches need to be making disciples who make disciples who make disciples until the whole world knows

Churches must think young and develop intentional strategies for students in middle and high school for a global purpose. Too often, young people are overlooked in their potential to make disciples. When churches sharpen their focus on discipleship it leads to stronger evangelism.

There are no age restrictions to the great commission.

MISSIONS = DISCIPLESHIP

MIT GLOBAL IS A HOLISTIC WAY OF TRAINING DISCIPLES:

  • To understand their calling.

  • To follow Jesus daily.

  • To fight against social injustices.

  • To do something that matters for the Kingdom.

  • To become disciple-makers

DISCOVER

  • Missions is all about discipleship so MiT teaches young people to be grounded in a biblical worldview, passionate for prayer and intentional in obeying and following Jesus. Before we can live out the great commission we first must be disciples. When we allow Jesus to lead and we follow we begin to align our hearts with what breaks His.

DISCERN

  • Too often young people are overlooked in their potential to make disciples. For many young people who have a burning passion for global outreach it can be hard for them to find their way to become a missionary in their own church. To get from the pew to the field is the dream but often times the pathways to full time ministry are not very clear.

DEVELOP

  • MiT helps young people live daily as a disciple and become equipped to make disciples. In order to help mobilize young people globally we must get back to basics. MiT is about teaching a simple way for young people to live daily for Jesus through praying ,reading and being.

Equipping driven young people to find ways to knock down the walls that typically block others.

There are four mission fields we are commanded by God to work in that every MiT student will be trained to serve in.

Our first responsibility is to our family. We must create and live in God-centered families. We make home the training ground.

We should be involved and active is our local community, both in church and in our life outside of church—our neighborhood, work, and daily contacts.

The third area of responsibility we need to have is a love for our nation

The fourth mission field is often the most ignored. We must never overlook the global needs of the millions that are underprivileged, in vulnerable situations, displaced, or in one of the more than 6,000 people groups who have yet to hear the name of Jesus or who need to have the Bible in their own language.
